Klein-Dickert Milwaukee, Inc., otherwise known as KD Glass, has been a trusted name in its community for nearly 100 years. From its long-standing history to its commitment to quality service, it's no surprise KD Glass is one of the top names for glass and glazing work in Wisconsin. Although the company puts a laser focus on quality work for its customers, when KD glass moved to a new office building of its own, employees wanted a fresh, clean look for themselves that would exemplify the modern beauty of the glass and glazing work they produce.

Modern Industrial Style

KD Glass wanted to achieve a look in its new space that would be modern without appearing stodgy or cold. That's why the conference room and private offices were outfitted with tables, desks and storage from the NBF Signature Series Urban collection. With a clean profile and industrial aesthetic, Urban does double duty by creating a modern look that is also warm and inviting. Guest and task chairs from Office Star beautifully complement the black wood framework on the desk and tables without causing the office to appear too dark. In the reception area, Officient New York City chairs allow guests to be seated in comfort while they wait for appointments. Premier Crossback chairs tie in the industrial black framework present in the rest of the office while offering a pop of color via red seat cushions.

Form and Function

Everyone deserves a beautiful office, but it's important not to sacrifice function for form. The Urban L-desk features a spacious work surface, and the matching filing cabinet provides space for KD Glass's Amy Olson to keep all of her most important paperwork and supplies. When we asked Olson what piece of furniture she couldn’t function without, she said, "My desk, as it holds all of my essentials. I love the Urban style furniture!"

Likewise, the Urban 8-foot conference table provides not only a beautiful look, but also enough space to seat up to eight meeting participants at a time. Conference chairs with mesh seats and backs match the chairs in the private offices and provide cool, breathable comfort.

Tennsco metal shelving in common areas is ideal for housing binders and important paperwork. Not only does the gray metal construction of these storage units make them strong enough to withstand many years of commercial use, but they also coordinate well with the industrial aesthetic in the KD Glass office.
